Free WiFi for
KIDS! AND Discounts on Computers!
City of Miami
Beach WiFi Network MBKIDS is available for free 24/7.
MBKIDS is a free
content-filtered wireless WiFi network. This separate wireless network
blocks Internet content that may be inappropriate for children by using
the same application implemented by the Miami-Dade County Public
Schools. Kids can safely log into the Internet any time of the day,
seven days a week.
The service provides 95
percent coverage outdoors and 70 percent indoors. If you are indoors,
such as in an apartment buliding, keep in mind that coverage reaches the
second floor only.
The city provides a bilingual, 24/7 free help hotline: find out how to
get access and more information by calling the 24 hour WiFi call center
305-722-1917.
Residents are also eligible to buy discounted computers through a
partnership with IBM (Lenovo). For additional information on discounts
to Lenovo computers and equipment please visit the city's web site at

Fienberg-Fisher K-8 Center is an
inner city, full-service, Title I school, situated in the heart of Miami
Beach's South Beach district, a transient neighborhood in the center of a
burgeoning nightclub industry. The student population is 80%
Hispanic, 10% Non-Hispanic White, 7% Black and 3% other ethnic groups.

Population (SPED) constitutes 26.9% of enrollment, serving students in
all
exceptionalities from profoundly mentally handicapped to gifted.
